81st Illinois State Amateur Championship
The 81st edition of the Illinois State Amateur will take place from August 9-11 at Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn. Last year’s champion, Vince India, will be competing in China and will not be in the field this year to defend his title. This should give another rising star the opportunity to make a huge impact on amateur golf at Glen Oak Country Club.
The Illinois State Amateur Championship is open to any amateur who is a current resident of Illinois, with a current Handicap index of 7.4 or lower. The format is a 72-hole stroke play championship. All players will play two days with the low 30 and ties and anyone within 10 strokes of the lead advancing to the final 36-holes.
