Get ready for one special post-Thanksgiving tradition you won’t want to miss – the 2012 Cog Hill Cold Turkey Open. Sign up today for this fun and exciting event that takes place on Friday, November 23 at beautiful Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont. The Cold Turkey Open is a two-person shamble and is contested on the challenging Cog Hill #2 golf course.
The cost to participate in this popular annual event is $61 per player, which includes greens fees, golf cart, driving range balls and a chili lunch with drinks and prizes. The format for the Cog Hill Cold Turkey Open is a “Big Cup” shamble with men under the age of 55 playing from the blue tees. Men above 55 and juniors will play from the white tees, while women will play from the forward tees.
The event will include three flights. The top six teams and ties will be part of the first flight, while the next six teams and ties making up the second flight. The third flight will consist of the third six teams and ties.
Located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Cog Hill Golf & Country Club is a world-renowned golf facility that features four 18-hole championship golf courses. The Club has hosted multiple large professional and amateur tournaments, including the BMW Championship on the PGA Tour and the US Amateur Championship.
