The course hosts the John Deere Classic and is managed by the PGA Tour as a member of their Tournament Players Club network of golf courses.

The course first hosted the John Deere Classic shortly after opening in 2000. The layout was designed by Quincy native and Illinois State alum D.A. Weibring, who won the Quad Cities Classic three times when it was played at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley.

The final five holes at TPC at Deere Run provide a memorable finish. The 14th is a short, risk-reward drivable par 4 that presents an opportunity for eagle – or bogey. The 15 hole is a long, difficult par 4 that ranks as the fourth most difficult hole on the course. The gorgeous par 3 16th hole is situated along the Rock River and provides a challenging club selection.

The par 5 17th plays 550 yards from the back tees and can produce anything from eagle to double bogey. The closing hole is a 463-yard par four that features intimidating water and consistently plays as the toughest hole on the course.

[1691
2104
1692,2066
post-20741","listing","type-listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","listing-category-semi-private","list-tags-illinois","location-illinois","location-silvis
["GET
