It’s never too early to begin the golf season and the Naperbrook Partner Best-Ball Challenge is a great place to start in the Brooks Tournament Series. You and a partner are invited to compete in this 18-hole best ball event that features a tournament format where the lower score of the two players represents the team score. Any amateur golfer 18 years of age or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible to compete for $65 per person, which includes greens fees and range balls. Trophies will be awarded to the winners and approximately 30% of the field in the Naperbrook Partner Best-Ball Challenge will receive merchandise credit. Call 630-378-4215 to register for the Naperbrook Partner Best-Ball Challenge sponsored by Brighton Car Wash and Detail Center.
You can also register online for this tournament or in person at Springbrook or Naperbrook Golf Course by Sunday, April 7, 2013. Cost is $130 per team ($65 per person) and the entry fee must be paid in full at time of registration.
Since this is an 18-hole partner best-ball event, each person plays their own ball and uses their own handicap to receive a net score on each hole. The best net score of the partners on each hole is the team score for that hole, with the lowest team score for 18 holes being declared the winner. Men will play from the blue or white (Age 70 or older) tees and women will play from the red tees, with the handicap indexes will be converted from the appropriate tees.
The host course for this event is Naperbrook Golf Course, which located in northwest unincorporated Plainfield. The layout is primarily “links-style” course, with rolling hills, native prairie grasses and ten ponds throughout the 6,755 yard, par 72 challenge with four sets of tees, large greens, one double green, hidden bunkers and wide fairways.
