Located in Deerfield, Illinois, Briarwood Country Club is a private club that features a par 72, 18-hole golf course that was designed by Harry Colt in 1921. Briarwood sits on 150 acres, 135 of those being the golf course.
Over the years Briarwood Country Club has evolved into a parkland style course with trees lining the fairways. In recent years, gold tees were added to stretch the course to just over 7,000 yards and greens were regrassed to provide consistent speeds.
Briarwood Country Club now offers pickleball programs. Pickleball is a paddle sport that has surged in popularity over the past few years that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. The game is played on a court with a net similar to tennis, and players use paddles to hit a perforated ball over the net.
