Merit Club is a 18 hole private golf facility located in Libertyville, Illinois that was collaboratively designed by Getz, Oscar Miles, Bob Lohmann and Ed Oldfield. With over 100 feet of elevation changes from the southeast corner to the northwest corner, Merit Club doesn’t have cart paths or roads intersecting the course.
Opened in 1992, Merit Club in Libertyville has been ranked among the top 100 golf courses in the United States by both Golfweek and Golf Magazine. The course hosted the U.S. Women’s Open in 2000, which was won by Karrie Webb. In 2016 Merit Club hosted the second edition of the LPGA UL International Crown, won by the United States.
