More than $58,000 was raised at the recent Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation Golf Classic held in Bolingbrook. More than 140 golfers participated at the beautiful Bolingbrook Golf Club, which plays host to many popular charitable golf tournaments through the year. The money from the event will be used to enhance services that support patients at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, according to Derek Cazeau, executive director of the Bolingbrook High Hospital Foundation.
Walsh Construction was the premier sponsor for the third annual edition of the Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation Golf Classic, which was sold out. The full-field event was contested on the 18-hole championship Bolingbrook Golf Club course designed by Arthur Hills.
“Our golf classic continues to grow, and it’s because of the support from organizations throughout the community,” said Cazeau. “Words cannont express our gratitude for everything that our community partners continue to provide.”
According to event organizers, there was a 20 percent increase in new sponsor participation. Sponsors for the event included Einstein Bros. Bagles, BD Mongolian’s Grill, Chick-Fil-A, Nancy’s Pizza and Andry’s Frozen Custard.
“The members of the golf committee worked hard at making sure this year’s Golf Classic was a success, and I want to thank them for everything they did for the hospital foundation,” said Rick Mace, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital chief executive officer. “The foundation’s support is an essential component to helping the hospital provide essential care and services to our community.”
