Inside The Ropes At The Encompass Championship

Jerry Smith used an eagle on the 16th to help win the 2015 Encompass Championship at beautiful North Shore Country Club in north-suburban Glenview. The win was Smith’s first on The Champions Tour and just the third in his career – 1991 (Waterloo Open) and 1998 (Guam Open). Smith entered the day leading Mike Goodes by three strokes and bogeyed his first two holes, but never lost the lead. Smith’s victory this year followed Tom Lehman in 2014 and Craig Stadler winning in 2013.

Take a look behind the scenes at North Shore Country Club and this popular Champions Tour event that has consistently attracted some of the top professional golfers in the world such as Corey Pavin, Jay Haas, Jeff Sluman, Jeff Maggert, Ian Woosnam, Carlos Franco, Kenny Perry and Bob Gilder along with famous celebrity partners like Jermaine Dye, Brian Urlacher and Robbie Gould.
