Bette & Court Dynamic Polo A Victory For Women’s Golf

As a golf professional, I’ve spent my career working with my students to simplify the movements of their golf swing. Years of bad habits often lead to numerous compensatory moves throughout their swing to ultimately square the clubface at impact. So much of what amateur golfers need is to remove the clutter – both physical and mental – to create a simple, yet powerful pass through the golf ball.

The mental component of golf is usually just as important as the physical side. That’s why I always recommend a simple, efficient approach to everything involved with the game, including what you wear.

Attaining that goal of simplicity with style recently occurred to me with a new golf shirt that I was testing from women’s golf apparel brand Bette & Court. Although the brand has been around since 1991, the form and function of the Bette & Court Dynamic Polo makes it one of the most responsive shirts I’ve worn.

The Bette & Court Dynamic Polo features a half-zip placket and lightweight material that helps keep you cool and dry during the mid-day heat, but it’s also really comfortable and stylish. I’m a big fan of the contrast piping, the sleek cut and the trendy print of the shirt.

Just like a great golf swing, the design is practical and functional, but it looks beautiful. The smooth, soft fabrics show off their textures and vibrant colors with simplicity, while the stylish, clean lines pair well with the modern directional prints, creating a flattering piece of apparel that fits better than your golf glove.

Another thing that I like about the Bette & Court Spring 2015 line is sun protection from the polo, which comes from the nylon/spandex textured fabric that is knitted with cooling yarns offering UPF 50, wicking properties and is cool to the touch. The mesh under the sleeves also offers ventilation for added comfort.

Although I was not that familiar with Bette & Court before testing this new golf polo, it’s not surprising that they’ve figured out what female golfers are looking for. The brand has been a supporter of countless grass roots and collegiate golf programs and events. They’re the longest running sponsor of the Executive Women’s Golf Association and have helped support many LPGA teaching and club professional members since 2007.
