It’s Goats vs. Kids at Cantigny Youth Links

With four distinct golf swings, from both sides of the ball, Bubba Watson and his RangeGoats GC teammates will challenge, entertain, and encourage junior golfers at Cantigny Youth Links just days ahead of the LIV Golf Chicago tournament (Aug 8-10) in Bolingbrook.

The RangeGoats Golf Club, led by two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson, is teeing up something far more meaningful than leaderboard glory this August.

In the lead-up to LIV Golf Chicago, the RangeGoats will swap fairway pressure for playground passion, partnering with Cantigny Youth Links for a one-of-a-kind initiative: Goats vs. Kids Golf Day, set for August 4, 2025.

Now, before you roll your eyes at the name, know this—RangeGoats Golf Club isn’t just showing up for a photo op.

They’re investing in the future of golf by putting their money, time, and hearts where it matters: in the hands of junior players. And not just any kids—this is Cantigny Youth Links we’re talking about, a special course in Wheaton that’s as much a leadership lab as it is a golf facility. Here, the kids don’t just play—they run the show. They staff the shop, book their own tee times, and learn lessons in responsibility before they even learn how to hit a flop shot.

“I have seen youth courses before, but never one with a clubhouse run by kids,” said Bubba Watson, Captain of RangeGoats GC. “The opportunity Cantigny Youth Links provides kids to learn golf in such a unique and welcoming environment is incredible. I was amazed when they told me the kids are encouraged to call and make their own tee times.”

As part of this impact partnership, the RangeGoats GC are doing more than showing up for a round. Bubba and the gang are delivering tailored video messages, gifting custom RangeGoats gear, and writing heartfelt letters of recognition to motivate Cantigny’s junior players. It’s a thoughtful blend of mentorship, encouragement, and sheer RangeGoat flair.

And it all builds up to Goats vs. Kids Golf Day—a spirited event where 45 lucky junior golfers will get to tee it up alongside Watson and his teammates at Cantigny Youth Links.

Meanwhile, dozens more will take part in a junior golf clinic hosted by the pros. The selection isn’t based on skill or luck—it’s based on summer participation. The more the kids play, the better their shot at walking the fairways with their heroes.

“Having Bubba and the Range Goats out to Cantigny Youth Links will be a tremendous opportunity for our youth members to see how some of the best in golf improve their games and deal with challenges on and off the course,” said Emily Burns, Head Golf Professional at Cantigny Youth Links.
