The Village of Bolingbrook and Bolingbrook Golf Club announced today the return of LIV Golf Chicago to Bolingbrook Golf Club, August 8-10, 2025. The upcoming tournament will take place a month earlier than in 2024, which was held September 13-15.
The 2024 LIV Golf Chicago event at Bolingbrook Golf Club produced record crowds over the three-day tournament. Fans were treated to Legion XIII captain and individual champion Jon Rahm’s victory.
“We are excited to welcome the eyes of the golf world and LIV Golf Tour back to Bolingbrook Golf Club and the Village of Bolingbrook in the upcoming 2025 season,” said Village of Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta. “The 2024 LIV Golf Chicago event was a tremendous success, and we look forward to building on that momentum to bring another world-class event to our community.”
Jon Rahm star shot a bogey-free 4-under 66 final round at Bolingbrook Golf Club to hold off Torque GC Captain Joaquin Niemann to win both LIV Golf Chicago and the 2024 Individual title. Niemann and Fireballs GC Captain Sergio Garcia tied for second, three shots back.
In shooting 11 under, Rahm played bogey-free golf for the last 38 holes and suffered just one bogey all week (in Friday’s first round) while winning for the second time. He also won in LIV Golf UK and placed in the top 10 in all 12 LIV Golf regular-season tournaments that he finished.
2024 was the first visit to Bolingbrook Golf Club and LIV’s final regular-season event of the season to determine LIV Golf’s Individual Champion. The tournament was contested the previous two years at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove.

Bryson DeChambeau won the LIV Golf Chicago individual championship in 2023 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove. His Crushers’ also took home the team title. Cameron Smith posted a final round 3-under 69 to win the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational-Chicago, which also was held at Rich Harvest Farms.
Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman expressed enthusiasm about returning to Illinois, stating, “The passionate sports fans of Chicago have embraced the intense competition and fan-first experience that LIV Golf delivers, and this year it will be an incredible setting for a high-stakes event as players battle it out for the individual title and a roster spot for 2025,” said Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman. “We’re thrilled to return to Illinois with an event at Bolingbrook Golf Club as we celebrate the season-long race and set the stage for the 2024 finale.”
Mayor Mary Basta of Bolingbrook also welcomed the internationally renowned players to Bolingbrook Golf Club, highlighting the venue’s distinctive features. Designed by prominent golf course architects Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest, the club is renowned for its challenging 156-yard island green on the signature 15th hole. The 7,104-yard course, adorned with rolling fairways and multiple lakes, was chosen for the PGA Tour’s Forme Tour in 2021.
Bolingbrook Golf Club has held the top spot of Chicago’s Top 10 Public Golf Course Clubhouses for the past few years. The first floor contains a 2,180 square foot pro shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, the casual dining golfer’s grill, and an exercise facility. The second level houses the grand ballroom which can seat up to 900 guests, the pre-function area which has three wet bars, audio-visual meeting room, and a covered veranda overlooking the #1 and #10 tees. The upper level contains a fine-dining public restaurant, two gourmet private dining rooms, and two bridal suites.
The Chicago tournament represents the last chance for golfers to earn points in the 2024 individual standings before the Team Championship. Players ranked in the Lock Zone (1-24) will secure their spots for 2025, while those in the Open Zone (25-48) will have a chance to negotiate new contracts. Players below rank 49 will enter the Drop Zone and must compete in the 2024 LIV Golf Promotions tournament for another chance to qualify.
