GolfLogix: From Map to App

Fewer than 18 months ago golf fans were witnessing top stars the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, and Talor Gooch win PGA Tour golf tournaments. During those wins, fans also witnessed those champions consulting green reading books on their way to victory. The green reading books most likely used by those PGA Tour players and others were produced by GolfLogix, the premier golf mapping firm.

Effective January 1, 2022, a new rule on the PGA Tour banned books for use in PGA Tour events which were printed before December 31, 2021, and the rule became effective for the first tournament of the new PGA Tour season, the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Jump forward 18 months to today, and banished from the PGA Tour are the ‘old’ green reading books and also Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson and Talor Gooch who have joined the LIV Tour. However, millions of amateur golfers playing ‘non-competitive’ golf are still around and so is the GolfLogix company, satisfying the desire for golf information by these serious amateurs.

Eighteen months ago, a supply of golf information was furnished by means of a printed golf book illustrating hole distance features and green maps. Today’s information is available using a smart-phone app with GolfLogix’s app leading the way with their 21st century technology.

GolfLogix is the #1 most downloaded app for golf statistics and analytics, featuring top course mapping technology to help golfers better understand the course and plot their swings. The new GolfLogix app includes over 35,000 mapped courses with a 3D, full-color, centimeter-by-centimeter view, and helpful highlights such as stat tracking.
