Acronyms have been around for decades and are widely used. Business has given us terms like CEO, ROI, COGS, and P&L. In military jargon there is AWOL, MIA, PFC, and MOAB. Baseball stats and lingo created RBI, ERA, HPB, OPS, and more; modern computer technology has brought forth RAM, ROM, CPU, and of course AI.
PrideSports, Inc. has recently introduced a new version of a product that elevates the golf ball above ground that has earned, by my reckoning, the acronym: ‘Best Of All Simulator Tees’ (B.O.A.S.T.).
Using logic, intuition, and physics (LIP), the team at PrideSports have infused three important features into the design of their new tee creating benefits over the regular cone-shaped plastic simulator tee.
Regular cone-shaped tees can increase the risk of flawed data when the tee is hit first, causing the ball to be in motion before club impact. With a new design that flattens the impact side of their sim tee, the Pride Performance Simulator Golf Tee is engineered to ensure ball-first contact. This patent-pending design more closely matches the distance you’d expect to see golfing outside with a traditional tee. By minimizing variables at impact, golfers can now trust their swing and the numbers that they will see on the simulator read-out.
The flat striking edge of the Pride Performance Simulator Tee ensures that the club strikes the ball first and minimizes tee interference through the strike zone. This aspect is especially beneficial during club-fitting sessions using an indoor simulator; launch and spin readings are more consistent.
The head (top) of the Pride Performance Simulator Tee is a low-resistance design that minimizes friction between the ball and tee. Resembling a crown with four prongs, it looks and acts like a regular outdoor pronged tee, thus supporting longer, straighter shots. The head design of a regular cone-shaped simulator tee is a ring with a concave depression that is prone to work against your swing not with it.
The Pride Performance Simulator Golf Tee is manufactured using high-grade TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), and is slightly thicker and more durable than other cone-shaped simulator tees.

PrideSports sells their new simulator tee in a package containing seven sizes starting with the shortest 1/2” height for irons stepping up in 1/4” increments to the tallest 2” height for drivers. The package also includes a mesh tote bag.
All in all, this is a fine product enabling PrideSports to boast they have created the B.O.A.S.T.
