X-Golf Orland Park

The growing popularity of golf simulators is showing no signs of slowing down, with over a dozen new facilities opening in the past 18 months. Indoor golf simulators are a great alternative to allow players to experience the game and practice in virtually any environment – whether in downtown Chicago or the suburbs.

A recent addition to the simulator craze is X-Golf Orland Park, which hosted its grand opening on November 18th. X-Golf Orland Park is located in the Lake View Plaza at 15876 South La Grange Road.

With over 8,000 square feet of space, X-Golf Orland Park offers 8 state-of-the-art, indoor golf simulator bays that use a combination of cameras, infrared lasers, impact sensors and advanced gaming software. Their golf simulators perform over 6,000 calculations per second while measuring club path, ball speed, smash factor and other performance metrics.

X-Golf is also great place to host your corporate event, sales event or private party for up to 100 people. X-Golf features a full bar with happy hours every day along with 15 big screen TVs and Wi-Fi.

X-Golf Orland Park is owned by Lemont residents John and Cindy O’Malley, and longtime Orland Park residents Ed and Marylou Parsons, and Joe and Jessica Andrews. The three local families met at Crystal Tree Country Club in Orland Park and bonded over their love of golf and their communities.

“X-Golf is the perfect combination of entertainment, sports and ambiance,” says O’Malley, who has wanted to open his own venue since working as a young man at his uncle’s establishment, O’Malley’s Pub, on the northwest side of Chicago. He adds, “We are so excited to offer this amazing golf technology to novice and avid golfers, families, and groups. Players can enjoy entertainment, engage in serious practice to sharpen their game, and enjoy great food and drinks.” 

Launched in 2016, X-Golf is targeting 12 locations in the Chicagoland area as well as facilities in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Chicagoland locations include X-Golf Schaumburg in the Woodfield Commons East Shopping Center, X-Golf Downers Grove, located at 1310 Butterfield Road, X-Golf Glenview, located at 2847 Pfingsten Road and X-Golf Libertyville at 1177 S Milwaukee Ave.

X-Golf Orland Park also plans to host competitions, leagues, lessons, memberships, corporate outings, events and more.

Regular operating hours at X-Golf Orland Park will be Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 9 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 am, and Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm. Call (708) 966-0486 for more information.
